What versions of Mac OS are supported?
Mac OS 9: 9.2+ (with CarbonLib 1.6) Mac OS X: 10.2.8+ We no longer
support Mac OS 8.6 or earlier...

I can't hear the course audio / audio breaks up.
1) Can you hear any sounds on this machine? A) Check the Speakers: - Are
they plugged in? - Are they turned on? - Is the volume turned up? B)
Check the Windows Sounds Control Panel - Go to Start->Settings->Control
Panel - Double-click on Sounds - C...
Platforms affected: Windows (All) Solution 1) Can you hear
any sounds on this machine?
A) Check the Speakers:
- Are they plugged in?
- Are they turned on?
- Is the volume turned up?
B) Check the Windows Sounds Control Panel
- Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel
- Double-click on Sounds
- Can you hear the Windows sounds?
2) Check your Mixer
- Double click on the Mixer icon on the Windows task bar or
Go to Start->Programs->Accessories->Multimedia->Volume Control or
Go to Start->Programs->Accessories->Entertainment->Volume Control
- Make sure that all of the volumes are up
- Make sure that none of the volumes are muted
3) Check the QuickTime settings
- Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel
- Double-click on QuickTime
- Choose "Sound Out"
- Try changing some of the settings there such as setting it to "Wave
Out", 16-bit, stereo
- Try increasing the buffer size from 30 to 300
- Try increasing the "Number of buffers in Fifo" to 15
4) Check the volume setting within the course
- Launch the course
- Go to the Options->Levels menu
- Make sure the volume is not too low
5) Check Hardware acceleration
- Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel
- Click on "Sounds and MultiMedia"
- Choose "Audio"
- In the section labeled Sound Playback, click on "Advanced"
- Click on "Performance"
- Try varying the "Hardware Acceleration" between "None" and "Full"
- Test and see if it is better
- Try varying the "Sample Rate Conversion Quality" between "Good" and "Best"
- Test and see if it is better
6) Check the version of DirectX (used by QuickTime if the QuickTime
setting for "Sound Out" is set to DirectX instead of WaveOut)
- Go to Start->Run...
- Type DXDIAG. Press OK
- Keep clicking on "Next Page" to test the DirectX installation
7) If it still doesn't work...
- Run the application called "QTInfo.exe". It is probably in the
c:\Program Files\QuickTime directory.
- Right-click in the menu bar, and select "Save log".
- E-mail this log file to support@dyned.com. Also send us any details (including
make and model) of your sound card.

DynEd products work on Windows '98 and above. This includes Windows '98,
2000, NT, ME, and XP. We no longer support Windows 3.1 or Windows
'95....

Black boxes on cat's head
1) Under the Apple Menu go to Control Panels-Monitors 2) Change the
Color Depth to Thousands. 3) Change your resolution to 800X600, if this
resolution does not work for you, then change it to 640X480. 4) Close
all windows and run the product again.... Problem When
running the product on my Mac I get black boxes on the cats' heads.

Bug in Let's Go
LG v4.1: Level 4, Unit 1, Vocabulary -symptom: exiting this lesson takes
you back to Level 4, Unit 2 1) Do this while no one else is using the
DynEd programs. 2) If this is a networked installation, be sure to sit
at a client computer -- don't sit at the server itself.

1, Vocabulary
-symptom: exiting this lesson takes you back to Level 4, Unit 2
1) Do this while no one else is using the DynEd programs.
2) If this is a networked installation, be sure to sit at a client
computer --
don't sit at the server itself.
3) Make sure that you are connected to the Internet.
4) Double click the "UpToDate" application in the DynEd directory.
5) Highlight "Let's Go." Do this even if it says that "Let's Go" is
already up-to-date.
6) Click "Download." Wait...
7) Click "Quit." Done!
