This program provides your child with extensive exposure to English in a way that is fun and stimulating.

Using Winnie’s World ensures:

• exposure to natural language in a variety of modes.
• activation and integration of language skills.
• language learning through a wide range of fun and challenging activities.

Your child will use English naturally and develop confidence while enjoying the songs and games in the program.

You, the parent, can also take part in the excitement. The Parent’s Guide is meant to involve you in your child’s journey into English. It includes helpful suggestions and ideas.

What is Winnie's World?

Winnie's World:

• is an interactive program designed to teach young learners English.
• is designed for young learners with no previous knowledge of English.
• provides a pleasant and stimulating learning environment.
• has likable characters that guide children through the program.
• contains a variety of activities, including songs and games.
• teaches listening and speaking skills in a communicative and meaningful way.

Structure of Winnie’s World

Winnie’s World is made up of eight theme-based units, or houses. Each house contains:

• an introduction of the keywords.
• word recognition activities.
• practice of phrases and short sentences.
• oral practice using the record and playback facility.
• language games at different levels of difficulty.
• an original song.

How Will Your Child Benefit from Winnie’s World?

Your child will...

• enjoy learning English and be encouraged to learn more.
• understand simple spoken language and respond to it.
• acquire passive understanding of basic English sentences.
• acquire a vocabulary of more than 800 words.

Winnie’s World is designed for complete beginners. The course emphasizes listening and speaking. Each of the eight houses presents games, songs, and activities, and includes oral help in your child’s first language.

In Winnie’s World, your child will:

• learn and practice numbers.
• name parts of the body.
• identify common objects in school.
• learn the names of different food items.
• learn and practice colours.
• identify family members.
• talk about feelings.
• name articles of clothing.
